Ideal TCR Jam Car Speedway, #3303-5,
from 1977.
This older version Ideal TCR slotless set is in good used condition and is complete with three cars.  The cars include a Mustang Rat Trap car in mustard with orange and black #12.  It's body in good condition and the car runs very slowly, and it's fitted with orange silicone rear tires.  Next is a slow running Pinto Rat Trap car in white with blue and red #77 in fairly good condition.  It's body is missing the rear bumper piece, and the front bumper is bent downward.  The third car included in the set is a Dodge Pickup jam car in mustard wth black and white checkered roof in working condition, but again running very slowly.  This vehicle has been substituted for the jam car originally present in the set.

The set box is in fairly good condition, with some corner and left open end flap wear as shown.  All of the track pieces are present.  The slotless track contents include:

7- 15" straights
1- 15" terminal straight
8- 12" radius 1/4 circle curves
2- TCR controllers (both working)
1- pack of red flagpoles with paper flags (flags will      need to be glued in place)
4- red banked curve posts (1 is missing)
3- red trestles
2- billboards (these have bends and creases)
1- owners manual, 6 pages, fair condition
1- layout sheet, fair condition
-   missing the wall pack 20V transformer

Sets up in a 5' 9" by 3' 4" space.  This set needs a 20 volt Ideal TCR wall pack transformer to make it complete .  The idea in this set is for the jam car to be used to automatically run, while you race and control the lane switching with the regular TCR slotless Rat Trap cars, using the switches located on the controllers.  First and second generation Ideal TCR cars (which these cars are) can be difficult to get running correctly, even when in new in the box condition.  You can expect the cars to die on the track from time to time and they will need to be tapped to get moving again, and you will usually need to press the controller trigger down all the way or nearly so in order to keep the cars from dying out.  I recommend using Tyco TCR cars or AFX Speedsteer cars on these Ideal TCR sets...they run faster and are much less problematical in my experience.  Only if you have had good luck getting Ideal TCR cars to run by your own means would I suggest using Ideal TCR cars in these sets.  Price for this nice old slotless set is $95.00

Ideal TCR Gran Circuit set from 1978.
This is a nice slotless set in very good condition but is missing the two cars chassis.  The track, controllers, and transformer give you a set that will be ready to run once you add cars which aren't included.  The two original bodies from the set are included.  The first one is a '57 Chevy in white/blue/red #17 complete with the bumpers.  The rear screw post has been cut off within 1/8" of the top of the inside of the body.  The second body is the Chevy Nova in yellow/black/orange #5 and it has cut rear wheel wells and the rear screw post is also cut off like on the Chevy.  You will need to add running cars to the set to make it complete.  I recommend using Tyco TCR cars or AFX Speedsteer cars since they are faster than Ideal TCR cars and are more trouble-free.

The set box is in fairly good condition.  All of the track pieces are present.  The track contents include:

5- 15" straights
1- 15" terminal straight
4- 12" radius 1/4 circle curves
1- 22V TCR wall pack power supply (working)
2- TCR controllers (working)
11- assorted size orange and yellow track support     posts
13- orange plastic pennants
6 page service manual (fair condition)
-  missing the 3 trestles

This oval track sets up in a 5' 9" x 2' space.  This set was tested and is ready for you to add your Tyco TCR, AFX Speedsteer, or Ideal TCR cars and start running.  A jam car can be used to automatically run on one of the ovals, while you race and control the lane switching on a regular TCR slotless car using a switch located on the controller.  Price for this TCR slotless set is $65.00
